The Ninja and I have been tossing around a few ideas to make this blogging adventure a little more exciting, useful, and entertaining.

Our brainstorming hasn’t progressed much beyond the below, but given my Lenten sacrifice of weekday TV, I’m sure I’ll think of something.

Thrifty Thursday: Next week will be our first “Thrifty Thursday”.  We’ll head down to the local Giant, Harris Teeter, or 7-Eleven and pick up a sub $10 bottle of wine.  We’ll both review it and give you our opinion.  The point here is to find wines that are both easily accessible and delicious.

Local Loot:  At least once a month, we’ll go pick up a sixer, a fifth, or a bottle of some locally produced beer, spirit, or wine.  (That includes DC, Maryland, and Virginia, for those counting).  For anyone who reads this outside of the area, hopefully it’ll give you something to look forward to on your next visit.

We’re open to (most) any idea to shamelessly promote this thing.

The weekend’s almost here, so that means plenty of time for tasting and general tomfoolery…..
