Stonehedge 2008 Zinfandel Reserve

We cooked up some Virginia lamb burgers last night, and decided to pop open a $10 zin from Trader Joes. The Stonehedge 2008 Zinfandel Reserve was really the ticket, especially given the price. I love the Rendition Zinfandel. It’s $9, good, but lacks depth. For the buck more, the Stonehenge gives that depth and is well worth it. It’s deep dark garnet color is alluring. The nose has some very nice raspberry tones on the tones. Great fruit to taste.

This is a great wine. Especially for the price. I should have bought more.
